Job description

Un superviseur d’un service traiteur est un superviseur des services de la restauration dont la fonction est de préparer ou de faire préparer divers mets sur commande pour un client et de s’assurer de la livraison et/ou du service de ces mets.

Travail à horaire variable, parfois selon des heures coupées, et pouvant exiger de travailler les soirs, les fins de semaine ou les jours fériés. Fonction exigeant de travailler de longues heures debout et de porter de lourds plateaux d’aliments. Travail qui peut s’effectuer sous pression aux heures de pointe. L’organisation du travail peut varier selon la saison touristique.

Généralement, suivant le bagage académique, de trois à cinq années d’expérience dans le domaine de la restauration sont exigées. Une expérience en supervision constitue un atout.

Main duties

  • Key Responsibilities
    1. Sales & Business Development
  • Build and maintain relationships with hotels and corporate clients.
  • Respond to inquiries, prepare quotes, and follow up to secure bookings.
  • Identify growth opportunities and help develop catering packages.
  • Contribute to monthly reports and sales performance tracking.
    1. Event Planning & Execution
  • Plan logistics for events including layouts, staffing, deliveries, and materials.
  • Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Guarantee that all setups meet safety and hygiene standards (HACCP).
  • Be present during key events to ensure client satisfaction.
    1. Team & Schedule Management
  • Create staff schedules based on event needs.
  • Lead service staff and ensure top performance.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training.
  • Manage last-minute changes and solve problems calmly and efficiently.
    1. Inventory & Equipment Oversight
  • Monitor and restock supplies and equipment.
  • Track inventory and manage loss prevention.
  • Ensure all catering tools, vehicles, and setups are clean and functional.

  • Knowledge of food safety and event regulations.
  • Flexible schedule and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingual (French/English) is a strong asset.
